This photo shows a competitor's High Chrome Iron 35% impeller (left) after four weeks in a chrome spiral feed application, and LT pump M27 impeller (right) after the same duty cycle in the same application. The massive, general wear of the HCI35 impeller indicates much softer material compared to the much less severe and more localised wear of LT pump  M27. The high wear of the HCI35 impeller caused motor amps to rise and tank levels to oscillate, while the LT Pump M27 impeller could have gone at least another four weeks without compromising process stability.

Slurry Pump Spares Details

Slurry pump Volute Liner is an important wear part of slurry pumps. It forms a slurry pump chamber with throat bush and frame plate liner insert where the slurry would flow through them. Slurry volute Liner is a curved funnel increasing in area to the discharge port. It is often used with slurry pump impeller. As the area of the cross-section increases, the volute reduces the speed of the liquids and increases the pressure of the liquids. The main purposes of a volute liner is to help balance the hydraulic pressure on the shaft of the slurry pump.

The Properties of The Rubber Material:
We have variety of natural rubber and elastomer, which can be used for pumping corrosive or acid slurry. But the rubber material is not suitable for slurry which contain sharp solids.
When the slurries contain fine particles, the rubber material features good performance of wear resistant.

Natural Rubber	R55	R55 is widely used for impellers, frame plate liners, cover plate liners and throat bushes. Max particle diameter can be 20mm, impeller peripheral speed should be less than 27.5m/s; suitable for temperature not exceeding 75ºC.
EPDM Rubber	S01	S01 is widely used for impellers, frame plate liners, cover plate liners and throat bushes. Maxparticle diameter can be 8mm; impeller peripheral speed should be less than 25m/s; suitable for temperature not exceeding 120ºC(continuous duty) or 140ºC(discontinuous duty).
Nitrile Rubber(NBR)	S12	S12 is widely used for frame plate liners, cover plate liners, throat bushes, lip seals, impellers and expellers. Maxparticle diameter is 7mm; impeller peripheral speed should be less than 27m/s; suitable for temperature not exceeding 95ºC.
Butyl Rubber	S21	S21 is widely used for impellers, frame plate liners, cover plate liners, expellers, volute seals and throat bushes,. Maxparticle diameter can be 7mm; impeller peripheral speed should be less than 30m/s; suitable for temperature not exceeding 100ºC.
Hypalon	S31	S31 can be used for impellers, frame plate liners, cover plate liners and throat bushes,. It is recommended to use for strong acid slurry with mild or moderate corrosion. Max particle diameter can be 10mm; impeller peripheral speed should be less than 30m/s; suitable for temperature not exceeding 110ºC.
